Designing PID Controller for DC Motor by Means of Chaos Enhanced PSO Algorithm

Abstract. In this paper it is investigated the possibility of using chaos enhanced PSO algorithm in the task of PID controller design. The experimental DC motor system is used as the problem design and four different criterions are used to measure the quality of the regulation. Four different chaotic systems are used as pseudo-random number generators for the PSO algorithm and promising results of this method are presented and discussed.
